2-minute 6-block Rocket stove

This is a very simple Rocket stove that I made from six concrete blocks in about 2 minutes. I found it to work very well after the initial lighting and it burned clean and hot, very little smoke. I boiled 10 liters of water on it in about 40 minutes and the ambient temp was 48 deg. F. It needed little tending and consumed only a small amount of wood. The blocks never got too hot to touch.

Note the three stones to keep the pot supported - have to follow tradition, ya know. :-)

The cracks between blocks seemed to help by feeding some secondary air to the fire. The triangular shape reduces the number of blocks needed and creates better draft I think. You can see the heat waves coming out around the bottom of the pot - a pot skirt would help keep the heat on the pot and reduce cooking time. Also, the whole thing could be placed on a raised platform to keep from having to bend over so much. (BTW the two weird header blocks are from another project. I would normally just use standard blocks.)

This was quite a satisfying project for so little input and time involved. Let me know if you try it and how it performs for you.
